Ideas for final product.
I liked this magazine cover as the artist is made to look tall and dominant, as he's standing as tall as the bulding this is an idea I incorporated into my own magazine(double page spread) with my artist standing on top of a building.

Front Cover Image
This is the image I chose to be on the front cover. I chose this picture as it shows the artist wearing a black jumper with a white top which fits into the colour scheme I used on the magazine, which was gold, black, white. Also the jumper worn by the artist is produced by perfomance and fashion brand Adidas which is hugely popular among teens and young adults who are the main target audience. I hoped this would attract them to the magazine. Also in the image the artist is seen directly looking at the camera which is a convention used by real life media products as the eye contact between audience and artist makes their relationship feel more personal.

Front Cover Research
When I carrying out research to get some ideas on how I wanted my front cover to look like. This was my favourite front cover I stumbled across, I was especially impressed by the writing in the back ground which was faded to allow maximum focus to be on the artist. This example was from Hip-hop magazine XXL.
Planning my magazine
The step in planning my magazine was searching on Google, "rap magazine" to get an idea of what current real life magazines look like. What I gathered from the proffesional magazines I found was that frover covers were dominated by black males with hardly no represenation of women or any other races.
